Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition – Return of Rome Expansion Set To Release in May

Microsoft announced the release of Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition – Return of Rome, the next DLC for the popular historical RTS remake. The expansion will be available for PC and Xbox One, Xbox Series S, and Xbox Series X consoles on May 16. 

Although not much is known yet about the upcoming expansion, Return of Rome promises to bring a number of ancient civilizations to the game. Based on the image released by Microsoft, fans speculate that Romans, Egyptians, and Babylonians will join the roster. This addition will have a significant impact on the game's meta. 

Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition was released in 2019 on PC and made its way to Xbox consoles in January 2021.
