Secret Neighbor review
Secret Neighbor is a super-exciting horror game where a creepy neighbor hides a child in his basement, and a group of children tries to free their friend.
The game is a competition in which players are divided into two teams – a team of young people and the Neighbor, which will disturb them. It is impossible to assume in advance which of the players participating in the game session will be assigned what role. Each of the guys has one or another unique perk that can help their common cause.
Getting to the basement is a task that involves many other minor sub-tasks, including finding a map and a key, as well as tools to overcome the Neighbor's traps. The Neighbor himself is allowed to use numerous gadgets, set traps, and the ability to defeat each rival by barely touching him.
The game is constantly updated, including new skins: so now the Neighbor's model can be replaced with a crazy Clown's model.
We liked the virtual world of Secret Neighbor, as the developers spent a lot of time and effort to show us a cool product. Here, literally in every location, there is a darkness of parts, rooms, doors, boxes, books, all kinds of shelves, and drawers that complement the atmosphere.
Also, great work has been done on the lighting – lights, lamps, darkened locations, and stuff like that also works great for the gameplay. You even have a flashlight, which not only helps in the search but also is a conditional means of protection from a neighbor.
The elaboration of locations at such a high level can not but rejoice, especially if you are a big fan of such graphics and want to enjoy the cartoon's setting. Yes, the graphics are not suitable for everyone because they are rather childish, but thanks to them, the atmosphere is created incredibly attractive, especially on New Year's Eve.
Controls in the game Neighbor's Secret is very simple and does not require a lot of training. You can use the WASD buttons or use the joystick on Xbox.
- Interesting story;
- Thoughtful soundtrack;
- The presence of multiplayer.
- Ill-conceived elements of the gameplay;
- Lack of motivation among players to work as a team.
