Among Us Will Finally Be Available for PS

The popular Among Us game was released for Steam three years ago and has gained quite a following, especially during the pandemic. Now, the game will become available for Xbox and PlayStation on December 14.

According to the new post on the PlayStation Blog, it will be possible to play Among Us on PlayStation 4 and 5. The game will be introduced with several new updates, but it will still include the previous content. Also, in the future, there will also be a unique Ratchet & Clank cosmetic. If you have Xbox, you will get access to the game via Game Pass. For $5, Among Us will support cross-play.

Among Us has an interesting history, as the game was released for the first time in 2018 but its true popularity came after the COVID-19 lockdown, at the beginning of 2020. Around August of 2020, the game gained over 400,000 players only on Steam. One of the reasons for such a following was the fact that the game is a perfect title for Twitch streams.

The Innersloth studio has previously mentioned that such a sudden interest in the game was completely out of the blue and they had to add more interesting content and also expand to other platforms. Back in December of 2020, Among Us became available on Switch and it has not been introduced to any other platforms since then. Now, the situation has changed and even more players can join.

Currently, the studio also made hints about their Fortnite collaboration with Epic Games. The companies had a conflict, but now it seems that they managed to clear things out. This summer, Fortnite released a new mode called Imposters, which looked like it was taken directly from Among Us yet without any credit.
