PlayStation Store Reveals December 2021 Statistics
2022-01-12

It was a tough battle, and now we know what game has achieved first place in the Top Downloaded list of PlayStation Store in December 2021: Among Us. The famous title leads the tops in both North America and Europe. It was launched only in December at a $4 price and managed to climb to the highest rank, beating pretty popular games.
When someone was too busy looking for the imposter, other games like Battlefield 2042, Call of Duty: Vanguard, and NBA 2K22 were fighting for the place on the list across Canadian and the US charts. European top doesn’t differ too much with FIFA 22, It Takes Two, and Far Cry 6.
Some titles from the previous months have managed to stay on the list by the end of the year. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and Spider-Man: Miles Morales have been holding their places since their early release. After several patches and free upgrades, the games rose in popularity among consoles players. It was nice to see Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach in the top 10, as the game made its debut only mid-December of 2021.
Let’s don’t forget about VR: Beat Saber got to the top of the list as the most-downloaded PSVR game in Europe, Canada, and the US. There were also other interesting contestants like Superhot VR, Swordsman VR, and Job Simulator. Coming to the free-to-play area, Fortnite has clearly established its dominance in the charts, with Destiny 2, Genshin Impact, and Rocket League trying to keep up with the leader.
Surely, it is exciting to see new titles in the most-downloaded list for consoles, and no one could expect Among Us to get ahead of the other games so quickly. There is a lot to see in 2022, and we can only guess how the lists will change with the upcoming releases.
