TikTok Starts an Educational Program in Marketing
2022-04-11
TikTok is launching an educational initiative that targets those users of the platform who want to maximize their profit-making opportunities. The program has become known as CAP, which stands for Creative Agency Partnerships University. Its primary focus is to help freelance creators, as well as agency TikTok partners, explore every aspect of effective creation on the platform. It’s emphasized that the program is highly customizable and lets you concentrate on the areas you are most interested in.
TikTok explains that you will be able to tweak your curriculum based on your company’s “unique areas of growth” and choose a number of courses from the offerings to reflect your priorities in development. For those interested in live sessions, office hours meetings with the CAP University team are included. You’ll be able to pick subjects such as Trends and Music Licensing, TikTok: From Briefing to Pitching, and Concepting & Creating for TikTok. In case you are new to the platform, there’s also a TikTok 101 course to familiarize you with it. You can also take a specialized course in collaboration with other creators to maximize your growth opportunities.
This new initiative is probably part of TikTok’s effort to keep its creators financially motivated. It’s no secret that shorter videos monetize less easily than more traditional formats do because they offer fewer venues for ad insertion. The platform has clearly been working hard to keep its creators from revolting. Given that Vine users essentially abandoned it due to a lack of monetization opportunities, CAP University sounds like an important step in securing TikTok’s future. Do you think you might take a course? Which one are you most interested in? Leave a comment below.
