Granny review
The game Granny appeared in 2017, developed and published by DVloper. The game is in the horror genre, where you have to hide from a scary grandmother who will try to destroy you.
Plot
The hero of the game wakes up on a bed in some scary house. The door is not closed, but you need to get out as quietly as possible because a scary-looking grandmother walks around the house, and it is not clear whether she is dead or obsessed, but she definitely wants to destroy you.
Once a player touches something in the house or a door creaks, she will rush to deal a fatal shock with a bit and the next game day will begin. The longer you behave quietly, the longer the game day lasts.
Graphics
The graphics in the game are hard to call modern, but it perfectly emphasizes the creepiness of everything that happens. There are not many painted details here, only some elements of the former interior and the necessary equipment for the game. Maybe also because of the specific graphics, everything looks more scary and gloomy.
The graphics will unlikely surprise an experienced gamer, and you should not count on a bright detailed picture, but still this performance of the game has its own recognizability and is very well suited to the horror genre.
Gameplay
To pass the game, the player has five game days. You need to explore the house and guess puzzles in search of keys or other items that will help you to find them to get out of the house. That's why you need to be as careful as possible so that terrible grandmother doesn't hear you.
During these days, you need to get out of the house of the obsessed grandmother and try not to catch her eye, because if she hears you, she will definitely destroy you and a new day starts then. With each new attempt, the character receives damage from the grandmother’s shocks, which affects the game.
Pros
- Spooky atmosphere of horror.
- Lots of puzzles;
- You can select the difficulty level;
Cons
- Violent scenes in the game;
- Not suitable for children.
