TikTok review
On TikTok, users post 15-seconds long videos and gain millions of followers. These videos can be on different genres and plots; mainly it is dancing, singing, humor videos, challenges, etc.
Interface and Navigation
Overall, the application is quite easy to use with or without registration. However, note that if you are not registered, you are allowed only to view feed but no posting. You will have to register to subscribe to Tiktokers interest and publish content. You can connect Facebook, Google, Twitter, Instagram profiles, or register with phone or mail. The tabs located at the bottom of the screen are used to navigate within the application. The main one is the feed.
Usability
Control in the feed is carried out using swipes. Swipe up and down to switch videos, and swipe to the right to open the author's profile, where you’ll find information about the user and other content. Click on the button with three dots to turn on notifications about new clips of the user, share a link to the profile, write a private message, and also report or block.
All your activity is collected on the notification tab. Notifications about new videos and live broadcasts, information about events, and TikTok trends, as well as private messages in which you can correspond with other users of the social network. The "Profile" section, like on Instagram, serves to display information about you.
Security
The social network accesses the clipboard every time the user types any of the characters on the keyboard. Since a person types messages quite quickly, TikTok also accesses the clipboard almost every second.
At the same time, unlike Google Chrome, which reads links and offers to follow them, TikTok does this without any argumentation. For example, in March 2019, security researchers discovered that several applications, including TikTok, accessed the clipboard whenever the app was opened and closed.
